Thai massage is for people who wish to expand their sense of wellness and awareness to the core of their being.

The origin of scientific Thai massage dates back thousands of years, and is significant in its blending of Indian Ayervedic medicine with holistic Chinese healing arts. A Thai practitioner incorporates many techniques that are similar to Western massage techniques, such as sports massage, myofascial release and neuromuscular therapy. The therapist uses stretching and compression techniques with the focus on preparing, aligning & opening energetic pathways throughout the body. Through a session, the recipient is able to receive gentle, yet deeper pressure, compared to most Western traditions, and can thereby become free of stress and pain patterns. Similar to yoga, the recipient feels centered and rejuvenated after a session.

Sessions typically are given on a Thai mat placed on the floor, with the recipient wearing loose, comfortable, natural fiber clothing. A two hour or ninety minute session is recommended to receive the lasting benefits.
